Dead Mommy[]

Something I've been wondering for a while: Where did this belief that Dabazaal killed Sincline's mother for refusing to marry him come from? I must have watched that episode a million times now and can't see any indication that he even wanted to marry her in the first place. In the flashback, Daibazaal kills her because she was asking him to spare the lives of some rebels whom had already surrendered. He told her that if she was going to continue to defy him that she could share their fate and he wouldn't show any mercy just because she was his son's mother. There is no mention of marriage one way or another.

I don't know why, but the fandom of Voltron is full of crazy misinformation, especially when it comes to romance. I don't know if some of it comes from fanfic, bad memories, stretched inferences, or a mix of all three. That's why we gotta remain vigilant that stuff like this must be cited with references. If it can't be traced to an episode or comic issue, delete it. Let the author re-add it only if he adds a reference. --GrantB 15:31, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Lotor's Mother[]

Where was it implied that Lotor's mother was Arusian? I understand it is implied that Lotor's mother was already dead by the time of the lion series (although whether she died before or after Zarkon's coronation is yet to be revealed). And I understand that in the original source material, Sincline's mother was Altean. Dbz77 22:43, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

I think its one of those things that is just assumed. Since his mother was Altean in the original, fans just go ahead and assume that she must also be Arusian in the American version. Either that, or maybe it acutally does imply that she's Arusian in an actual episode somewhere. Ugh. But I really don't want to sift through four whole seasons of the thing to find it. The English dialouge, oh it burns! RenkonNairu 07:31, March 24, 2011 (UTC)
This is just another one of those things that, if we can't cite it, it shouldn't be here. At best, it gets a note item explicitly stating that there is no citeable source for this claim. --GrantB 14:41, March 25, 2011 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure his mother is a drule, as Queen Merla is, only she was a hot Drule, again like Merla.
