Seok Jin is a member of the IGF-Atlas' crew. He was seen exiting the ATLAS with a backpack of organic samples which Commander Holt believed could assist with rebuilding society back on Earth. Lieutenant Ryan Kinkade seems to have been a close friend of his.
Seok Jin was created in memory of Seok Jin Jang, an animator and storyboard artist who passed away in 2018. Before joining the VLD animation team, Seok Jin worked on 'The Death of Superman' 2018 and 'Lego Elves: secrets of Elvendale' 2017. Jin was honoured with a scene in which Kinkade bids his namesake character a heartfelt farewell.
