Plot Summary[]
While making repairs to the castle, the Paladins encounter unusual spongy spores that lead them to a planet of brilliant engineers- the Olkari.
When landing, Team Voltron meet the Olkari people in the forest, where they adapted from machine to nature based technologies. When rescuing the Olkarian king Lubos, Team Voltron find out that he willingly sold out his people as slaves to live in comfort, as he builds a super-weapon for Zarkon's forces.
As Voltron engages the super-weapon, it learns and adapts to their attacks, even replicating them. After Pidge has help from the Olkari, she reconnects to her Green Lion in a way that allows her to summon a new weapon, which when the Black Cubes attempt to clone, instead grow massive plant roots. When leaving Olkarian space, the Castle of Lions is intercepted by a Galra war fleet.

Quotes[]
"Why doesn't anyone ever send a distress signal come from a cool place? I hate the outdoors! Nothing but sunburn and poison oak."
— Pidge
"You know, it's weird. I've always been a tech junkie. That's how I connected with the world. But, for the first time, I feel connected to everything. I guess it's like Ryner said. We're all made up of the same cosmic dust."
— Pidge comes to a profound realization
"So, that means we're all related. This ship, those stars, the Olkari. Even the Galra."
— Keith comes to a similar realization as Pidge
"Okay, We're walking outta here! Anyone tries to stop us and Lubos gets it!"
— Keith threatening to kill Lubos
Notes[]
- Keith threatening to kill Lubos by saying "Anyone tries to stop us and Lubos gets it!" is a refrence to the 1987 film RoboCop.
