Thousands of years ago, the goddess was challenged to combat by the arrogant robot known as Golion, after it had defeated several beastmen. To teach GoLion humility, the goddess separated him into five pieces in the form of five lion robots that sailed through space and crash-landed on Altea, to lay in wait for those who would one day reawaken him to battle against the forces of evil once more.
