Bloodlines is the fifth episode of the fifth season of Voltron: Legendary Defender. It was released on Netflix along with the rest of the season on March 2, 2018.
Synopsis[]
Keith is sent to find a fellow Blade named Krolia and locate a powerful weapon. Lance, Hunk and Pidge reprogram a robot to have fun.
Plot Summary[]
Commander Samuel Holt leaves for Earth, and Kolivan dispatches Keith on a mission to destroy a superweapon. It is being developed by the Galra commander Ranveig and must be destroyed before it is claimed by either of two warring factions lead by Commanders Trugg and Landok. Keith must also retrieve one of their operatives.
Emperor Lotor allows the Paladins to access Galra headquarters and asks Allura to look over Haggar's research. Lance, Pidge, and Hunk get up to shenanigans after they reprogram their escort sentry.
Keith meets the operative, Krolia. The mission to destroy the weapon does not go well and is interrupted by the arrival of Commander Trugg. She captures Keith, and Krolia gives up the weapon's code to Trugg in return for Keith's release and safe passage. Trugg immediately uses the weapon, but it turns against her as the weapon is a biological monster.
Escaping, Keith confronts Krolia over how she was able to use his Marmora blade. Krolia tells him that it used to be hers and she left in the care of Keith's father, revealing that she is actually Keith's mother.

- The Music played in the background is an arrangement of Amazing Grace, just like how it was in the film.
- Trugg says "Destroy what's left of them", a line spoken by Nute Gunray in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
- First appearance of Krolia, who was mentioned in season 2, though not by name.
